Uplift Cleaning Company Encourages You To Vote!

Today is the municipal election in Fort Erie. If you are eligible to vote, have you voted yet? If you haven’t, why not?

Here are some reasons why you should go vote today.

Democracy Is Expensive

Your right to vote has been secured with the lives of tens of thousands of Canadian men (and some women too), many more who returned from fighting alive, to ensure that we continue to have a free country where we are allowed to vote.

To honour the sacrifices those in our military have endured, it is our duty to exercise the rights they fought and currently fight to protect for us!

Your Right To Complain

Voting is the most direct way to complain to your elected officials. If you don’t like how they are doing their job, this is your opportunity to vote them out of office.

You don’t like how the current municipal government is doing their job? Now is the time to express that by voting for someone who you think might do a better job.

If you think the current people in government are doing a good job, today is your chance to tell our current elected officials that by voting for them.

Either way, this is your chance to affect local governance.

Go Out And See Something Different

Every election that I have voted in has been an experience. The voting location, how it is being run, how the people are behaving around me - have all been a little bit different. If nothing else, going out to vote can be an interesting experience for you.

Viewing it as entertainment does take away from the importance of every vote that we have the right to cast, but if all you need is to participate in something that only happens every four years, then maybe that is enough to get you out to vote.

We Clean Toilets!

We clean toilets for a living, so we won’t try to give you any opinions about one political candidate or another.

All we know is that we can vote and will do so, as we have the right to. We hope that if you have the right to vote in this municipal election that you do too.
