I’m sure that it has crossed your mind, as a loyal reader of Uplift Cleaning Company’s blog. Why exactly does a cleaning business have a blog?

Keeping Our Audience Informed

There are sometimes changes that we make to how our business operates that we want to communicate with the community.

Recently, when we launched our dog waste removal (poop scooping) service, we wanted to tell everyone who would listen about this important service. This blog is one tool we have available to do that.

Sometimes we attend vendor fairs throughout the Niagara region. It's important to us that you are informed of where we are for these. We would love to meet you when we are at these events! Come by and say hi to us!

Sharing What We Know

Earlier this year, we had a Buy Canadian series that consisted of made in Canada cleaning products we tested and liked. We feel that it’s important at this time to help other Canadians make informed choices about the products and services they use so they can make the best decisions for themselves.

Sharing what we know is also part of our business’s mission. Uplift Cleaning Company wants to help uplift people, by cleaning their homes, but also by helping people who don’t want or need our services to be more effective at cleaning their homes by themselves too.

We believe that all boats should rise together to make the world a better place!

Multi-Media Omnipresence!

If you have watched YouTube videos about marketing a small business in the current year, you may have heard about the concept of multi-media omnipresence. We are doing what a small business can do to be everywhere, all the time, where a potential client may be looking for a cleaning service. Having a blog is part of that strategy.

We would love to be everywhere, all the time, but that is challenging and expensive to do. What we do have is a website with a weekly blog, a Facebook page, a YouTube channel, and various advertising that we do in our community to promote the business.

Are we omnipresent? I don’t think so. One thing we don’t want to be is annoying or pushy about marketing to our potential clients. We are real people and have had the same encounters with the well-trained salespeople going door-to-door in our neighbourhoods who try to get us to switch to whatever service they are promoting today. You know the slick salesperson that once you respond to them with a greeting they can’t seem to get the message that you are busy and need them to leave you alone? Don’t worry about that with us! We at Uplift Cleaning Company can be pretty socially awkward and don’t want to have encounters like that with potential or current clients. We respect your time by not wasting it! If you want to talk to us, contact us and let's get down to business!

Being Part Of Our Community

Uplift Cleaning Company is a small business based in Fort Erie and serving the Niagara region. We don’t forget the part about serving the community. It might be in the context of Canada in general for our Buy Canadian series, or more local like when we share about Halloween in the Niagara region, or our participation in local vendor fairs or the Fort Erie Santa Claus parade.

It may be in the form of supporting local media, such as Fort Erie Radio, who we advertise with. By the way, we think that Fort Erie Radio and the people who work there are pretty great! Fort Erie needs more Fort Erie Radio! In a world of increasingly monolithic techno dystopian mega corporations trying to turn us into commodities, with a person being both a customer and product at the same time sometimes, having local choices for our media that are genuinely local is very important!

In addition, when you contact us, you are communicating with a real person who is based in Canada - Fort Erie to be precise. His name is James (It’s me!). We don’t use chat bots or AI agents, or outsource to other countries. We hire in our community too, with our employees living in the Niagara region.

So, Why Have A Blog?

Why not have a blog! It lets us keep in contact with all of the beautiful people who read our content. We would like to thank you for doing so. It means a lot to us that you take the time to read our blog. We hope that you learn something or at least get entertained by us.

When most people consider the purchase of a product or service, price is of course an important consideration. But there are other things to think about, especially since home or office cleaning means letting people into your home or place of business to do their work.

Peace Of Mind

When Uplift Cleaning Company is cleaning your home or office, you can rest assured that we are doing exactly what we say we are doing. Our cleaners are actually working. Your home is being cleaned. When we are finished, your home or office will be cleaned to the agreed standard. If it isn’t, then we will correct any issues.

Professionalism

This is easy to say, but can be hard to demonstrate in practice. Uplift Cleaning Company holds our cleaners to a high standard to ensure that we are bringing people we trust into your home or office to get the work done.

If you look at the multitude of cleaners offering the most detailed cleaning, who are trustworthy, and offer a low price, you should ask yourself if they can really provide that service in a sustainable way for that price. If they have staff, workers who are being paid fairly, with all of the various insurances, taxes being remitted appropriately, and have compliance with applicable labour legislation too, then a low price that seems too good to be true should raise suspicion.

Uplift Cleaning Company has its ducks in a row! We have all of the necessary insurances, the structure in our business to provide service to our clients while treating our employees fairly, and we pay our employees above living wage for Niagara region too!

Hidden Costs

With Uplift Cleaning Company, we are transparent about pricing and what you are getting for that price. This is why every cleaning job for us requires a custom on-site quote to ensure that we can provide cleaning services to your home or office within your cleaning budget.

Sometimes a job does cost more to complete than was quoted and we have had this happen a few times. Our clients have been understanding and usually are impressed at the results that we have been able to achieve for them, leaving them with a place that is very clean when we have finished.

How To Choose In a Crowded Cleaning Market

You could, of course, save yourself time and just choose Uplift Cleaning Company to clean your home or office for you!

But if that isn’t what you want to do, we advise you to consider the following:

  • Is the price too good to be true?

  • Does the cleaner seem to be a legitimate business?

  • Do they seem professional when you communicate with them?

  • If you check on the workers, are they working?

Uplift Cleaning Company hopes that you find a cleaner who meets your needs for home or office cleaning, even if that isn’t us. Please take care to hire a legitimate cleaning business and ask questions to see if they are a good fit for your needs.

Do you have some Easter surprises left on your lawn? It may not be from the Easter Bunny!

How Can Uplift Cleaning Company Help?

Uplift Cleaning Company offers dog waste removal service (poop scooping) throughout the Niagara region!

A one-time yard clean-up starts at $100.

Weekly yard clean-up starts at $25 per week.

These prices are for up to two dogs. Of course, Uplift Cleaning Company can handle any cleaning job from large to small, so if you have eighteen dogs, we can get the job done!

How Does It Work?

Our home and office cleaning services are all custom jobs, so they require an on-site quote in order to provide an accurate estimate and make sure we will be cleaning all areas of your home or office that you want cleaned.

For the dog waste removal (poop scooping) service, just contact us and we can give you a price for your first clean-up by phone, email, or social media.

We will service your yard at our earliest opportunity or on a day you request!

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you do yard clean-ups when it is raining?

No, we would reschedule your yard clean-up for a day when it is not raining.

Doing poop scooping in the rain would be impractical (and messy), so we would prefer to do this when it is not currently raining.

Will you take the dog waste away with you?

We will usually dispose of the dog waste in your municipal garbage pail or compost bin.

If you want, we have the option of Haul Away Service, where we will dispose of your dog’s waste for an additional fee of $10 per cleaning.

I want dog waste removal all summer. Can you do that?

Yes, we can!

Poop scooping service begins with a one-time cleaning to get your yard in tip-top shape. After that, you have the option of weekly, biweekly, or even twice weekly poop scooping service to keep your yard tidy all summer!

Pet waste can go in the green bin?

It sure can!

According to the Niagara Region’s waste disposal guide, pet waste can go in the green bin as long as it is in a certified compostable plastic bag.

This means that we can dispose of the dog waste from your yard in the green bin! That’s why we use compostable bags in our poop scoops.

Do I need to secure my dogs before you clean my yard?

Yes please! We would prefer that you have your dogs secured for our safety, before we clean your yard of dog waste.

Safety is our number one priority. We are visitors to your yard and your dog is not familiar with us. We would appreciate it if you could have your dog(s) secured before we provide service at your home.

I have more questions. Who can I ask them to?

If you have questions, please contact us at (289) 931-0117.
